What is OCR National Certificate in iMEDIA Level 2?
Course Details
Enhance your iMedia performance with the complete IT qualification from OCR.
iMedia leads on from everything you may have learnt from gaming and creative new media. It enables you to gain relevant workplace skills and techniques to keep you one step ahead. You can choose to specialise in digital and interactive media areas such as web authoring, 3D game engines, digital animation or interactive multimedia design.
Learn how to:
- Use a digital video camera to obtain video footage
- Use a computer programme to store digital video
- Import and edit various types of media and audio clips within a digital video editing application
- Produce and edit a short video sequence for use within multimedia
- Understand 3D principles
- Create a 3D model for a particular purpose
iMedia is a versatile e-portfolio only qualification offered at Levels 1, 2 and 3, giving students the option to achieve a certificate or diploma for each level.
A certificate comprises three units and the diploma consists of five units. Both options include a mandatory unit. Unit certification gives learners progressive recognition throughout the course.
All candidates are assessed at Grade B equivalent (of G.C.S.E.)
There is NO EXAM, all work is assessed by coursework production. You create a E-PORTFOLIO for your work.

Progression Routes
Progression routes for further study could incude studying for Level 3 OCR IMedia or studying an IMedia degree.. Employment opportunities could include games design or web design.
