We Will Rock You
December 2008
We Will Rock You was performed at Manor College for four evenings in December 2008. The show involved a cast of eighty pupils and one ex student who returned to play Killer Queen.
Sarah Setterfield had played a number of characters in various plays whilst attending Manor including Anita in West Side Story and lead roles in Back to the 80’s and A Vampire Story.
Other characters were played by James Pattison (Galileo), Nicky Liddle (Scaramouche), Claire Moore (Meatloaf), Craig Walls (Britney) and Corey Jai Healey (Khashoggi).
This year we had a live band which was joined by Craig for the second act after his character died and the guitar solo in Bohemian Rhapsody was played by Craig and James on stage.
Another ex pupil, Luke Wallace, created the video projection for the show which proved to be integral to the whole experience for the audience.
Great characters were created and Mrs Robinson’s fantastic costumes for Killer Queen will be remembered for years to come.
It’s not often you see a 6 foot tall ex pupil on stage in a floor length leopard print coat!
